AWARDING CONTRACT TO GATEWAY CONSTRUCTION FOR
RENOVATION OF UPPER WASHINGTON PARK (AREA A), AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Renovation of Upper Washing-
ton Park, in accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 12-83-22,
revised and approved on March 20, 1984; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Gateway Construction agreeing to perform said work in
accordance with said Specifications for the base bid sum of
$278,826.00; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its proposal
is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the bid of Gateway Construction is hereby accepted,
the contract for Renovation of Upper Washington Park (Area A) is
v, hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf
of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st of May, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
