AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE ON THE
OPEN MARKET FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STREET WORK AND RELATED
FACILITIES SERVING THE CORPORATION YARD/ANIMAL SHELTER
WHEREAS, the street work and related facilities to serve
the Corporation Yard and Animal Shelter projects is a joint re-
sponsibility of Encinal Terminals and the City; and
WHEREAS, as a condition of the agreement between the City
and ABAG in the certificates of participation the work at the new
facility must be complete by June 30, 1984; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the design of the
roadway by Encinal Terminal's design engineer was not completed
in time for standard City bidding procedures to complete the work
by June 30, 1984;
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to negotiate on the
open market for construction of street work and related facilities
to serve the Corporation Yard and Animal Shelter projects.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st of May, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
