Resolution 10317ORtt3INAL RESOLUTION N0. 10317 RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO VOLUNTEERS FOR THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN COMMEMORATION OF NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS' WEEK WHEREAS, Citizens and friends of the City of Alameda have donated countless hours of their time to the City through various City departments, and; WHEREAS, the dedication of our volunteers and the many valuable services that these people have performed have enriched the City government's efforts to maintain the quality of life desired by the City's residents, and; WHEREAS, the number of volunteers and the number of volunteer hours have grown by more than 25%, and; WHEREAS, the entire community benefits from the enriched level of service provided by dedicated volunteers, and; WHEREAS, the City wishes to acknowledge that May 6th through May 12th has been declared National Volunteers' Week/ and; WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge this outstanding valuable effort, and; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that it strongly supports the City of Alameda Volunteer Program and looks forward to its continued growth and the opportunity to utilize the talents of the many generous people who contribute so loyally. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CITY COUNCIL thanks and commends the devoted volunteers and their outstanding efforts over the past years.
