AWARDING CONTRACT TO O. C. JONES & SONS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF HARBOR BAY PARKWAY WIDENING, DOOLITTLE DRIVE TO
MAITLAND DRIVE, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Construction of Harbor
Bay Parkway Widening, Doolittle Drive to Maitland Drive in
accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 3-84-3, approved March
20, 1984; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by 0. C. Jones & Sons aareeing to perform said work in
accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $1,206,810.00;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its proposal
is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons is hereby accepted,
the contract for construction of Harbor Bay Parkway Widening,
Doolittle Drive to Maitland Drive, is hereby awarded to said bidder,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk
to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of May, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 3.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmembers Gorman and Lucas.
