Resolution 10343CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10343 CERTIFYING FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AND REZONING FOR THE ALAMEDA GATEWAY PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2900 MAIN STREET (COMMONLY KNOWN AS TODD SHIPYARD) WHEREAS, Alameda Gateway Limited, John Beery, General Partner, has proposed a conversion of the former Todd Shipyard site located at 2900 Main Street to a mixed use development con- taining retail, restaurant, office, recreation, hotel and marina uses; and WHEREAS, in compliance with the state Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, there has been prepared an environmental impact report for the proposed amendment to the General Plan Land Use designation from Light Industrial and Military Installa- tions to Heavy Industrial, the amendment of the zoning designa- tion from M-2-G, General Industrial Special Government District to M-2, General Industrial District, and said multi-use project, covering the effects said project will have on the environment and including potential mitigation measures, where warranted, for such effects; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Board, at its regular meeting on May 29, 1984, considered the Draft Environmental Impact Report and Response to Comments and certified said documents as adequate for the proposed General Plan Amendment, Rezoning and possible multi-use project, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby certifies that it has reviewed and considered the information contained in the Final EIR for L General Plan Amendment, Rezoning and possible multi-use project for the property located at 2900 Main Street, comprised of the Draft Environmental Impact Report and Response to Comments, and further certifies that said Final Environmental Impact Report has been completed in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and State and City Guidelines, and is accurate and adequate to evaluate specified projects within the Alameda Gateway Project at such time as they are presented to the City or Respon- L„, sible Agencies for approval. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a Regular Adjourned Council Meeting assembled on the 7th day of June, -1 984, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers.Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
