AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF A PATROL BOAT
FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, a contract with the California Department of
Boating and Waterways for the purchase and operation of a Patrol
Boat has been entered into; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a Farallon 25-foot
offshore patrol boat with sterndrive, available through Farallon
Plastics, Ltd., is the best product for the City's needs and
no other manufacturers of boats this size can meet the Farallon
specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter
the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to negoti-
ate and purchase a Farallon 25-foot offshore patrol boat with
sterndrive, and equipment, on the open market.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a Regular Adjourned Council Meeting;: assembled
on the 7th day of June,.1984, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Counci lmenbers .Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diamertt - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
