AWARDING CONTRACT TO ALAMEDA PAVING AND EXCAVATING,
INC. FOR MINOR STREET PATCHING WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE
FOR THE 1984-85 FISCAL YEAR AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Minor Street Patching with
Asphalt Concrete for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1985, in
accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 5-84-12, approved May 15,
1984; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Alameda Paving and Excavating, Inc. agreeing to perform
said work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$2.65 per square foot; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and, its proposal
is one of two identical low bids received; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Charter allows preference
to Alameda based companies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the bid of Alameda Paving and Excavating, Inc.
is hereby accepted, the contract for minor street patching with
\ '91 asphalt concrete for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1985 is
hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized
')) to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a Regular Adjourned Council Meeting assembled
on the 26th day of June, 1984, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
