AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF FOUR PERSONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENTS FOR APPROXIMATELY EIGHTEEN MONTHS FOR A
STUDY OF THE CITY'S SANITARY SEWER PIPES
WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Infiltration/Inflow Study
authorized by this Council on February 13, 1979, has resulted
in the location of various areas of the City's sanitary sewers
which are in need of repair and/or replacement; and
WHEREAS, in order to determine the extent of the required
repair and/ or replacement work it is necessary that the City
hire four employees with an operating knowledge of the equipment
to be used; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the work can be
completed in approximately eighteen (18) months;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager and the City Clerk be,
and each hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and

to attest to, respectively, on behalf of the City, four (4)
1 -AA personal services agreements for a period of approximately
eighteen (18) months, or until December 31, 1985, two agreements

to be at salary steps within the range of Public Works Maintenance
—o- Worker II and two agreements to be at salary steps within the

range of Public Works Maintenance Worker, with an hourly rate
plus 16% to compensate for no benefits.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a Regular Adjourned Council Meeting assembled
on the 26th day of June, 1984, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
