ADOPTING A TENANT ASSISTANCE POLICY FOR THE RENTAL
REHABILITATION GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has determined that there is
a need within the City for assistance in the preservation and
rehabilitation of existing rental housing units; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is an eligible applicant for
Rental Rehabilitation Grant Funds as authorized by the Urban-Rural
Recovery Act of 1983; and
WHEREAS, said Act requires the preparation of a Tenant
Assistance Policy for tenants permanently displaced by rehabilita-
tion activity financed with Grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City of Alameda hereby adopts a Tenant
Assistance Policy prepared in conformity with the requirements of
24 CFR 511.10 (h) (2) ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of said Tenant Assistance
Police be made available to the public, upon request, at the
Community Development Department Offices, Room 103, Alameda City
Hall.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City-of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of Ju
1984, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, and President Diament - 3.
NOES: Councilmembers Lucas and Monsef - 2.
ABSENT: Done
