AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN
PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR CROSSING
PROTECTION AT MARINA VILLAGE PARKWAY
WHEREAS, a proposed agreement with Southern Pacific
Transportation Company, a Delaware corporation, entitled "Street
or Highway Easement", for removal of the existing railroad
crossing at Work Street and installation of crossing protection
at Marina Village Parkway, has been submitted to this Council
and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and
conditions thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Alameda that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the Mayor of the City of Alameda is hereby
Ne authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the
City, that certain agreement referred to above entitled "Street
of Highway Easement" by and between the Southern Pacific Trans-
portation Company and the City of Alameda for crossing protection
at Marina Village Parkway. The City Clerk is hereby directed
to attest to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly-adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th of September, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
