AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENTS AND
AMENDMENTS THERETO WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR. TENTH YEAR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is an eligible recipient of
Community Development Block Grant Entitlement funds as authorized
by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has applied to the Department
of Housing and Urban Development for Tenth Year Entitlement funds,
in the amount of $1,241,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager or his designee is hereby authcr-
ized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City, that
certain grant agreement, and any amendments thereto, with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development for Tenth Year Community
Development Block Grant funds, provided that said agreement is
offered to the City free of special conditions which would restrict
the use of said funds in any substantive manner.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th day of September, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: Councielmember Lucas - 1.
ABSENT: None.
