Resolution 10463CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10463 DESIGNATING THE ALAMEDA FREE LIBRARY BUILDING AS A HISTORICAL BUILDING INTO PERPETUITY WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 9732 adopted on April 7, 1982, this Council designated the Alameda Free Library as an "Alameda Historical Monument"; and WHEREAS, the Alameda Free Library building, located at Santa Clara Avenue and Oak Street, was erected in 1902-03 with a grant from Andrew Carnegie; and. WHEREAS, the Alameda Free Library building continues to contribute to the social, cultural, historical and architectural history of this community; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council that this build- ing be preserved for the enjoyment of future generations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City 'T771 j of Alameda that the Alameda Free Library building shall be pre- served as a historical building into perpetuity. 07 L- c' I, the undersigned, heresy certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th_ of October, 1984, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
