A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE PLAN OF THE WEST END COMMUNITY
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Community Improvement Commission of the City
of Alameda (the "Commission"), by Resolution No. 84-20 on November
20, 1984, submitted to the City Council of the City of Alameda
a proposed Amendment to the Plan (the "Amendment") of the West
End Community Improvement Project (the "Project") and consented
to and requested that the City Council call a joint public hearing
of the Commission and the City Council to consider and act upon
the proposed Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges receipt of the pro-
posed Amendment, along with the Commission's Report to the City
Council and the Negative Declaration on said Amendments; and
WHEREAS, Section 33458 of the California Community Redevelop-
ment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq. requires
the consent of the Commission and of the City Council of the City
of Alameda in order to conduct a joint public hearing on the pro-
posed Amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby consents to and, at
the request of the Commission, calls a joint public hearing of
the Commission and the City Council on December 18, 1984, at 7:30 pm.
p.m. in the City Council Chamber to consider and act upon the
proposed Amendment and all documents and evidence pertaining
thereto.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Alameda shall,
in cooperation with the Secretary of the Commission, prepare,
publish and mail such notices and documents and do all other acts
as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of November, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers. Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
