Resolution 10489OR GI AL RESOLUTION NO. 10489 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE PLAN OF THE WEST END COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 11/30/84 WHEREAS, an amendment (the "Amendment") is proposed for the Plan of the West End Community Improvement Project (the "Project") to amend the boundaries of the Project by deleting certain property from the boundaries of the Project; and WHEREAS, an initial study has been made to determine whether the proposed Amendment will have a significant effect on the environment; and WHEREAS, based on the results of the initial study, a Negative Declaration has been prepared by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda (the "Commission") and submitted to and considered by the City Council of the City of Alameda (the "City Council") in connection with the proposed adoption by the City Council of an ordinance adopting the Amendment; and WHEREAS, on December 18, 1984, the City Council and the Commission held a joint public hearing on the proposed amend- ment and the Negative Declaration, and the City Council has considered all comments and testimony received pertaining thereto; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Negative Declaration complies with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act and local procedures in implementation of the Act; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Negative Declaration prepared for the proposed Amendment to the Plan of the West End Community Improvement Project, the purpose of which is to delete certain property from the boundaries of the Project, is approved and certified as complying with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act and local procedures in implementation of the Act. Section 2. Based upon the initial study and the Negative Declaration, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the proposed Amendment will not have a signi- ficant effect on the environment. Section 3. The City Clerk is authorized to file a Notice of Determination with the appropriate county and state offices following the adoption by the City Council of an ordinance adopting the Amendment. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 1984, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5, NOES: None. ABSENT: None.
