Resolution 10494CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10494 APPROVING THE APPLICATION AND THE PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANT FUNDS FOR REHABILITATION OF CITY HALL PROJECT FROM THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ACT OF 1984 WHEREAS, the Legislature under the California Park and Recreational Act of 1984 has authorized the establishment of a Historic Preservation Grant Program, providing matching funds to the political subdivisions of the State for historic preservation projects; and WHEREAS, the California Office of Historic Preservation in the Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the administration of the program within the State, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and. WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the Depart- ment of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications and the availability of local matching funds prior to submission of said applications to the State; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby: 1. Approves the filing of an application for the Historic Preservation Grant assistance for project; and 2. Appoints the City Manager or his authorized designee as agent of the City to coordinate, process, and execute all contracts, agreements, amendments and ancillary documents within the scope of the attached application; and 3. Agrees that all required local matching funds will be provided for the project. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of December, 1984, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament NOES: None.
