Resolution 10507CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10507 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR TRACK RELOCATION AND GRADE CROSSING WORK FOR THE PATTON WAY PROJECT WHEREAS, the design of Patton Way requires that Southern Pacific Transportation Company relocate its tracks easterly of the existing location; and WHEREAS, an agreement between Southern Pacific Transporta- tion Company, a corporation, and the City, in the approximate amount of $274,81000, for removing and replacing approximately 1,700 feet of trackage and adjusting the grade crossing at Thau Way, installing a new grade crossing at Marina Village Parkway, and closing the grade crossing at Bethlehem Avenue, has been submitted to this Council for approval and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms thereof; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda that said agreement be entered into; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, that certain agreement referred to above by and between Southern Pacific Transportation Company and the City of Alameda for track relocation and grade crossing work for the Patton Way project. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment for this work shall be from Federal Aid Urban Grant funds. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly- adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of January, 1985, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
