AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO
EXECUTE REHABILITATION AGREEMENTS WITH THE ALAMEDA
GIRLS CLUB AND THE ALAMEDA BOYS' CLUB
WHEREAS, on November 19, 1984, the City Council of the
City of Alameda approved the reprogramming of $50,000 in Tenth
Year Community Block Grant funds for the rehabilitation of
facilities operated by non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda Girls' Club and the Alameda Boys'
Club have submitted projects which are within the funding limita-
tions and which can be implemented within the fiscal year ending
June 30, 1985; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that said projects will
primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons and are
eligible activities as set forth in the Community Development
Block Grant regulations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager or his Designee is hereby
authorized to execute Rehabilitation Agreements with the Alameda
Girls' Club and the Alameda Boys' Club on behalf of the City
of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of January, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
