Resolution 10525CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10525
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF COMMUNICATION
EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Police Communication
Equipment budget for the purchase of additional police radios;
and
WHEREAS, Motorola Communication and Electronics, Inc.
furnished and maintains the City's public safety communications
equipment and is the only company that can provide the necessary
radio equipment and guarantee compatibility with our present
system; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the radios provided
by said firm are the best choice for police class communications
equipment available to the City at this time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter the
Police Department and the City Purchasing Agent are hereby

N authorized to negotiate and purchase communication equipment for
the Police Department on the open market.
