ACCEPTING QUITCLAIM DEED FROM SOUTHERN PACIFIC
TRANSPORTATION COMPANY FOR THE PATTON WAY PROJECT
(THAU WAY)
WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company, a
Delaware corporation, has executed and delivered to the City
a Quitclaim Deed executed on January 21, 1985, and granting
to the City certain property designated Parcel Number 47813-A
for the Patton Way Project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City that
said Quitclaim Deed be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the Quitclaim Deed from Southern Pacific
Transportation Company for that certain property designated
Parcel Number 47813-A and containing 939 square feet, more
or less, is hereby accepted on behalf of the City of Alameda,
and said Council, acting for and on behalf of said City,
hereby consents to the recordation of said Quitclaim Deed
and orders this resolution to be attached thereto, as required
by Section 27281 of the Government Code of the State of
California.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th of February, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
