AUTHORIZING AN INTER-FUND LOAN FROM THE SANITARY
SEWER SERVICE FEE FUND OF $440,000 TO SEAL THE ALAMEDA
CITY DISPOSAL SITE, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT WITH BAY CITIES PAVING & GRADING, INC. TO
SUPPLY MATERIALS THEREFOR
WHEREAS, at its February 5, 1985 meeting this Council
approved a report regarding methods of obtaining material for
sealing the former Alameda Disposal site; and
WHEREAS, Bay Cities Paving & Grading, Inc. has submitted
a proposal offering to supply dreding material at a cost to
the City of $3.00 per cubic yard; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of this offer will result in consid-
erable savings to the City; and
WHEREAS, there are no City funds appropriated for sealing
the former Alameda Disposal site; and
WHEREAS, a temporary loan in the amount of $440,000 from
the unencumbered balance in the City Sanitary Sewer Service Fee
Fund would fund this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that an inter-fund loan of $440,000 is hereby
approved and said sum is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Sewer Service Fee Fund to the General Fund to cover the cost
of sealing the Alameda City Disposal site; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager and the
City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized and directed to
execute and to attest to, respectively, on behalf of the City,
an agreement with Bay Cities Paving & Grading, Inc. for pro-
viding up to 60,000 cubic yards of dredging material at $3.00
per cubic yard.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th of February, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
