AWARDING CONTRACT TO DAWSON & J. R.'S CONSTRUCTION FOR
PEASE AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notices calling for bids for Pease Avenue Improvements,
in accordance with Specifications No PW 1 -85 -1, approved
March 5, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub -
mitted by Dawson & J. R.'s Construction agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$31,949.30; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible, bidder and its proposal
is the lowest and best bid received; and
WHEREAS, Federal funds will finance the project through
Community Development Block grants and the estimated project
cost, bid price plus contingencies, is $38,340;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the bid of Dawson & J. R.'s Construction is hereby
accepted, the contract for Pease Avenue Improvements is hereby
awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of
the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of April, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
