AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF HARBOR BAY PARKWAY EXTENSION, PHASE 3,
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the C ty of Alameda heretofore
published notices calling for bids for the Construction of
Harbor Bay Parkway Extension, Phase 3, in accordance with Speci-
fications No. PW 1-85-2, approved February 5, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $3,821,106.53;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal
is the lowest and best bid received; and
WHEREAS, the subject work is financed by Assessment District
84-4 and there will be no cost involved to the City in the construc-
tion of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc. is hereby accepted,
the contract for the Construction of Harbor Bay Parkway Extension
is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby autho-
rized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on
behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in spec=ial meeting assembled on the 17th of April, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
