AMENDING THE GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, the City is a participant in the Community
Development Block Grant Program authorized under the Housing and
Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City's economic development policy calls for
the establishment and operation of a certified development
corporation for the purpose of providing financial and technical
assistance to small businesses in the City; and
WHEREAS, the City has programmed funds from the Community
Development Block Grant Entitlement grant for the purposes of
funding administrative costs and loan capital needs of the
Grantee; and
WHEREAS, on December 7, 1983, the City of Alameda and the
Economic Development Corporation of Alameda entered into an
Agreement regarding the use of C.D.B.G. funds for administrative
overhead and Corporation seed capital; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of both the City of Alameda
and the Economic Development Corporation of Alameda to amend said
agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Grant Agreement is hereby amended as set
forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute said Grant Agreement Amendment No 2 for
and on behalf of the City of Alameda.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OR ALAMEDA
GRANT AGREEMENT AMENDMENT NO. 2
THAT CERTAIN GRANT AGREEMENT made and entered into the
7th day of December, 1983, by and between the CITY OF ALAMEDA
and the ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF ALAMEDA is hereby
amended as follows

1. Paragraph
(c) -is added to Section I Part 1 to read:
(c) $9,000 to be used by the Subgrantee for the
sole purpose of paying administrative overhead
costs of the, Corporation.
2. Section II Terms and Conditions, as attached, with
additional paragraphs A. 8, relative to Workers
Compensation and other insurance requirements, and
C.1, relative to Office of Management and Budget
Circulars A -102 and A -122, are hereby made a part of
said Grant Agreement.
