Resolution 10618CITY OF' ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10618 ADOPTING THE WEEK OF JUNE 24, 1985 AS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WEEK IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA. WHEREAS, the Alameda Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic, commercial and industrial progress of our community; and WHEREAS, the Alameda Chamber of Commerce has a major impact on business, income and future growth and development of the City; and WHEREAS, the economic well -being of the City of Alameda is directly related to the caliber of work done by the Chamber of Commerce; and WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce serves to promote a better understanding of our private enterprise system; to coordinate the efforts of commerce, industry and the professions in maintaining and strengthening a sound and healthy business climate; to provide creative business leadership and effective coordination of all interested parties in solving community problems and in initiating constructive community action; and WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce serves to create broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities in the City of Alameda, and to promote the advantages and assets of our community, within the area, in the state and in the nation NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda declares the WEEK OF JUNE 24, 1985 as CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WEEK in the City of Alameda. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of May, 1985, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Counci.lmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas., Monsef and President Diament - 5.
