Resolution 10624CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10624 AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO PURCHASE PUMP EQUIPMENT FOR THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL GOLF COURSE STORM PUMP STATION IN THE OPEN MARKET, PURSUANT TO SECTION 3-15 OF THE CITY CHARTER WHEREAS, the preparation of plans and specifications for the installation of two 7000 g.p.m. pumps on Doolittle Drive and upgrading of the golf course drainage pipe system has been approved by this Council; and WHEREAS, the pumps and related valves and motors are special order items which will require up to fourteen weeks for delivery; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that purchase of these items on the open market at this time is of great necessity in order that the equipment be available when a contract is awarded for installation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter the Public Works Director, in cooperation with the City Purchas- ing Agent, is hereby authorized to purchase on the open market two (2) 7000 g.p.m. storm water pumps, two (2) 50-horsepower vertical 880 RPM 408-volt motors, two (2) 18--inch check valves, and two (2) 18-inch gate valves. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of May, 1985, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Counci-lmembers. Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None.
