AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN HARBOR
BAY ISLE ASSOCIATES AND THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR
REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES INCURRED IN CONNECTION
WITH THE HIGH -SPEED WATER TRANSPORTATION DEMONSTRATION
WHEREAS, with the cooperation of the City, Harbor Bay
Isle Associates is undertaking a demonstration of high -speed
water transportation on the San Francisco Bay; and
WHEREAS, the City has applied to the Urban Mass Trans-
portation Administration of the Department of Transportation
for a federal assistance grant pursuant to Section 6 of the Urban
Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended; and
WHEREAS, if the grant is received by the City, the parties
wish to describe how the grant funds will be applied to defray
costs of such high -speed water transportation demonstration;
and
WHEREAS, a proposed agreement between the City and HBIA
setting forth terms and conditions for the application of the
grant funds has been submitted to this Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to execute, for and on behalf of the City, that certain agreement
referred to above by and between City and HBIA setting forth
terms and conditions for the application of federal assistance
grant funds.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th of June, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
