AWARDING CONTRACT TO O.C. JONES AND SONS FOR
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 84-3, MARINA VILLAGE PARKWAY
AND INDEPENDENCE DRIVE, NO. P.W. 4-85-10
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Assessment District 84-3,
Marina Village Parkway and Independence Drive, in accordance
with Specifications No. P.W. 4-85-10, approved May 7, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by O.C. Jones and Sons agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the base bid sum
of $852,414.67; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its proposal
is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the bid of O.C. Jones and Sons is hereby accepted,
the contract for construction of Assessment District 84-3,
Marina Village Parkway and Independence Drive, is hereby awarded
to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute,
and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the
City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of June, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and Acting President Monsef - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: President Diament - 1.
