AUTHORIZING CONTRACTING IN THE OPEN MARKET FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF HOUSE LATERALS FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1986, PURSUANT TO SECTION
3-15 OF THE CITY CHARTER
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Installation of House
Laterals for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1986, in accordance
with Specifications No. P.W. 4-85-13, approved May 21, 1985;
and
WHEREAS, no bids were received for this project; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-15 of the City Charter provides that
in case no bids are received, the Council may make such public
work or improvement without contract in the open market;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter the
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to contract in the
open market for the installation of house laterals for the fiscal
year ending June 30, 1986.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of July, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
