AWARDING CONTRACT TO OAKLAND FENCE COMPANY, INC.
FOR INSTALLATION OF A CHAIN LINK FENCE TO
SECURE THE FORMER DISPOSAL SITE
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Installation of a Chain
Link Fence to Secure the Former Disposal Site in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 5-85-18, approved June 4, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Oakland Fence Company, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$24,180; and
WHEREAS, as said sum is well within the amount budgeted
for this project, it has been determined to be in the best
interests of the City that fencing of the Osborne Model Airplane
Field be included in the project at an estimated cost of $4,000;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Oakland Fence Company, Inc. is hereby
accepted, a contract for Installation of a Chain Link Fence to
Secure the Former Disposal Site and the Osborne Model Airplane
Field is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of July, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
