AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A COOPERATION AGREEMENT
WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
ADMINISTRATION, SETTING FORTH TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE HOVERMARINE
DEMONSTRATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is the recipient of an Urban
Mass Transportation Administration Grant to test and demonstrate
a high speed ferry; and
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Agreement by and between the
United States of America, Department of Transportation, and the
City of Alameda has been submitted which provides for the
undertaking of an urban mass transportation project and sets
forth terms and conditions upon which assistance will be provided
and the manner in which the project will be undertaken and
completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute,
and the City Clerk to attest to, for and on behalf of the City of
Alameda, that certain Cooperative Agreement by and between the
United States of America and the City of Alameda for federal
assistance for the Hovermarine Demonstration Project.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of August, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
