Resolution 10706CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10706
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF VARIOUS VEHICLES
FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Fiscal Year
1985 -86 Public Works Budget for the purchase of five four -door
sedans and one one - and -a -half ton dump truck with tailgate lift;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that these vehicles are
available on the open market as good, used, rental or
demonstrators and new prior year or end of year models which can
be acquired at considerable savings to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
Public Works Director is hereby authorized to negotiate and
purchase the vehicles listed above on the open market.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of August, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers. Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
