AUTHORIZING PURCHASE FROM GOOD CHEVROLET OF ALAMEDA
OF A VEHICLE FOR THE GOLF COURSE, PURSUANT TO
SECTION 3-16 OF THE CITY CHARTER, LOCAL BIDDER'S
PREFERENCE
WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1985-86 Equipment
Replacement Fund for the acquisition of various maintenance class
items for the Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to replace a
Golf Course pick-up truck; and
WHEREAS, the class of vehicle best suited for intended
use is the S-10 pick-up model as found in the Chevrolet series;
and
WHEREAS, competitive prices have been obtained and it has
been determined that, pursuant to local bidder's preference
contained in Section 3-16 of the City Charter, Good Chevrolet has
submitted the best bid for the required vehicle;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-16 of the City Charter the
Purchasing Agent is hereby authorizead to purchase from Good
Chevrolet of Alameda a S-10 Chevrolet Pick-Up for the Golf
Course for the sum of $6,829.00.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of August, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
