Resolution 10709CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10709
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF COMMUNICATION
EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Police Communications
Equipment budget for the purchase of replacement police radios;
and
WHEREAS, the City's Public Safety Communications
equipment is Motorola and Motorola is the only company that can
provide the necessary radio equipment and guarantee
compatibility with our present system, reliable maintenance and
availability of parts;
WHEREAS, it has been determined that direct purchase from
Motorola will result in considerable savings to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter the
open market purchase of Motorola communication equipment for the
Police Department is hereby authorized.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of August, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
