AWARDING CONTRACT TO 0.0 JONES & SONS FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF SOUTH LOOP ROAD, PHASE II, HARBOR BAY BUSINESS
PARK, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 84-4, AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for South Loop Road, Phase II,
Assessment District 84-4, Harbor Bay Business Park in accordance
with Specifications No. P.W. 5-85-19 approved July 16, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by O. C. Jones & Sons, agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$761,837.00; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons is hereby
accepted, the contract for construction of South Loop Road, Phase
II, Harbor Bay Business Park, Assessment District 84-4, is hereby
awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of
the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of August, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
