APPROVING FINAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
MUNICIPAL COMPLIANCE PLAN
WHEREAS, the California Regional Water Quality Control
Board (CRWQCB), in 1980, issued a discharge permit to the City of
Alameda and six other agencies making up the East Bay Municipal
Utility District-Special District One Service Area, stipulating
that wet-weather overflows and bypasses of untreated wastewater
from the system were to be eliminated; and
WHEREAS, a Municipal Compliance Plan has been prepared
and a draft of said Plan was submitted to the Water Quality
Control Board as authorized by this Council on July 16, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the Water Quality Control Board staff has
indicated approval of the twenty-year compliance schedule and the
rehabitation effort for the first five years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the final copy of the City of Alameda Municipal
Compliance Plan is hereby approved and the Public Works Director
is hereby authorized to submit a copy of said Plan to the
California Regional Water Quality Control Board.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of September, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
