AWARDING CONTRACT TO GEORGE E. MASKER, INC. FOR
PAINTING HALLWAYS OF THE CITY HALL AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF, AND APPROPRIATING GENERAL FUND
MONIES FOR REQUIRED ADDITIONAL FUNDING OF THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Painting Hallways of the
City Hall in accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 7-85-21
approved September 3, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by George E. Masker, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$16,470 for the base bid and $6,600 for the add-alternate bid;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid, including the add-alternate, of George
E. Masker, Inc. is hereby accepted, the contract for Painting
Hallways of the City Hall, is hereby awarded to said bidder, and
the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $8,000 is hereby
appropriated from the City's General Fund to cover the additional
funding required for this Project.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of October, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers, Corica, Hanna, Lucas., Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
