REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE RENOVATION OF KRUSI PARK
"TOT LOT" AND AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION ON THE OPEN
MARKET FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS, on September 3, 1985 this Council adopted Plans
and Specifications P.W. 8-85-26 and called for bids for the
Renovation of Krusi Park "Tot Lot"; and
WHEREAS, the one bid submitted was over the consultant's
construction estimate; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the project can be
completed within the consultant's estimate by negotiation in the
open market for construction of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Council hereby rejects all bids received and
opened on September 19, 1985, in response to its call for bids
for Renovation of Krusi Park "Tot Lot"; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, pursuant to the provisions
of Section 3-15 of the Alameda City Charter, staff is hereby
authorized to negotiation in the open market for construction of
this project.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of October, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas., Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
