AWARDING MAINTENANCE CONTRACT TO HARBOR BAY BUSINESS
PARK ASSOCIATION FOR PROVIDING LANDSCAPE SERVICES
WITHIN THE ISLAND CITY LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING
DISTRICT, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 84-2, AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO COVER
CITY'S SHARE OF CONTRACT COSTS
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Contracting of Landscape
Maintenance of the Island City Landscaping & Lighting District,
Assessment District 84-2, in accordance with Specifications No.
P.W. 8-85-27 approved October 15, 1985; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Harbor Bay Business Park Association agreeing to
perform said work in accordance with said Specifications for the
sum of $97,920.00; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Harbor Bay Business Park Association
is hereby accepted, a one-year contract, effective on January 1,
1986, for Landscape Services within the Island City Landscaping &
Lighting District, Assessment District 84-2, is hereby awarded to
said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $23,779 is hereby
appropriated from the General Fund to finance the City's share of
overall maintenance operations in said Landscaping & Lighting
District.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of December, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Ciament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
