APPROVING CHANGE ORDER FOR CONTRACT WITH GALLAGHER
& BURK, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HARBOR BAY PARKWAY
EXTENSION, PHASE III, NO. P.W. 1 -85 -2, ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT 84 -4
WHEREAS, the contract for the construction of Harbor Bay
Parkway Extension, Phase III, No. P.W. 1 -85 -2 was awarded to
Gallagher & Burk, Inc. on April 1, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the soils engineer for the project has
recommended extension of the dynamic consolidation to assure
improvements constructed under this contract would not be damaged
by future dynamic consolidation; and
WHEREAS, following negotiations with Gallagher & Burk,
Inc.. an acceptable price of $88,500 for the extra work has been
proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that a change order for the City's contract with
Gallagher & Burk, Inc. for construction of Harbor Bay Parkway
Extension, Phase III, No. P.W. 1 -85 -2, Assessment District 84 -4
is hereby approved and the sum of $88,500 is hereby authorized
for the required additional dynamic consolidation work.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of December, 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
