AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE AND EXECUTION OF
LEASE /PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE LEASE PURCHASE
OF A VEHICLE FOR CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR USE
WHEREAS, a construction inspector hired by contract to
perform work primarily in conjunction with the development of
Harbor Bay Isle requires a vehicle equipped to drive beyond the
roadways within the Harbor Bay Business Park; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a stationwagon or
van type vehicle can be purchased at a lower price on the open
market and such vehicles are available for immediate delivery;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter
the Public Works Director, in cooperation with the City
Purchasing Agent, is hereby authorized to negotiate and
purchase a vehicle for use by a Construction Inspector and is
w authorized to execute a lease /purchase agreement therefor.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of January, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
