Resolution 10815CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10815 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR THE COMBUSTION TURBINE PROJECT WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require that certain real property located at Singleton Avenue and Main Street and hereinafter described be acquired in the name of the City of Alameda for use by its Bureau of Electricity for interconnection of the Combustion Turbine of the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) with the Bureau's 115 kV system, and WHEREAS, The Regents of the University of California, a California corporation, owner of said property is willing to sell the same to the City for the sum of $2,256.00, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XII of the Charter of the City of Alameda, the Public Utilities Board has the power, among other things, to control and manage the said Bureau of Electricity, a public utility owned by the City, and to acquire by purchase in the name of the City real property necessary for its purposes; and WHEREAS, the NCPA will reimburse the Bureau of Electricity for the cost of acquisition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the Public Utilities Board of Alameda purchase, in the name of the City of Alameda, for the sum of $2,256.00, that certain real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, described as follows: BEGINNING at an angle point in the easterly line of the parcel of land described in the Deed from The Regents of the University of California to the City of Alameda recorded February 3, 1940, at page 386, Book 3861, Official Records of Alameda County, said angle point being South 28° 19' East 839.94 feet from Station #178 on the Peralta Grant Line, THENCE along said easterly line South 0 34' East 261.71 feet to a point of cusp with a tangent curve concave to the west having as radius of 1040 feet, drawn parallel with and 80.00 feet easterly, radially, from the westerly line of said parcel, THENCE northerly, through an angle of 17° 16' 04 ", along said curve 313.44 feet; THENCE northeasterly along a reverse curve concave to the southeast having as radius of 20 feet (through an angle of 77° 20' 02 ") a distance of 26.99 feet to said easterly line of said parcel; THENCE along said easterly line South 28° 49' East 79.77 feet to the BEGINNING. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $2,256.00, together with a sum sufficient to cover any incidental expenses, be appropriated from the Bureau of Electricity Fund to pay the purchase price of said property and any incidental expenses. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of January, 1986, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
