AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR A CAREER CRIMINAL
APPREHENSION PROGRAM GRANT TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
A GRANT AWARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to undertake a certain project
designated CAREER Criminal Apprehension Program to be funded in part from funds
made available through Chapter 1292, 1982 Statutes, CAREER Criminal Apprehension
Program as amended, and administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of
Alameda is authorized on its behalf to submit the attached application for grant
funds for law enforcement purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Alameda the attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes in-
cluding any extensions or amendments thereof,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all match-
ing funds required for said project (including any extensions or amendments
thereof), and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.

Council of the City of Alameda in a meeting
thereof held on February 4, 1986, by the
