APPROVING THE UPDATE AND REVISIONS TO THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE
CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT TO CONFORM
TO THE 1984 STATE GUIDELINES
WHEREAS, pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Act
of 1970, the State Resources Agency promulgated guidelines
required by said Act which, in 1977, this Council adopted by
reference with amendments, additions and deletions; and
WHEREAS, extensive revisions in the state guidelines
became effective in January, 1984; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has considered the revised
guidelines for the implementation of the California Environmental
Quality Act to conform to the state guideline revisions and
recommends approval by the Council of the revised guidelines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that upon the recommendation of the Planning Board
and based on the findings contained in City of Alameda Planning
Board Resolution No 1573, the City of Alameda hereby adopts by
reference the state EIR guidelines with amendments, additions
and deletions thereto, as set forth in the revised guidelines for
the implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act
as contained in the document entitled "City of Alameda, EIR
Guidelines, January 27, 1986."
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of February, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Monsef - 1.
