DECLARING COPIES OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1985
EDITION, PLACED ON FILE WITH THE CITY CLERK TO BE
PUBLIC RECORDS; SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF SAID CODE BY REFERENCE;
AND DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SAID HEARING
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the Uniform Fire Code, 1985 Edition, Copyright 1985 by
International Conference of Building Officials and Western Fire
Chiefs Association with amendments, additions and deletions
thereof as the Primary Code, and Appendices I-A, I-B, I-C, II-A,
II-B, II-C, II-D, III-C, IV-A, V-A, VI-A, VI-C, and
VI-D thereof as the Secondary Code, a copy of said Code which
was filed with the City Clerk on March 10, 1986, is hereby
declared to be a public record and available for public
inspection; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing on the
adoption of said Code as the Fire Code of the City of Alameda by
reference to said documents filed with the City Clerk as public
records is hereby scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall on Tuesday, the 15th day of April, 1986, at the
hour of 7:30 P.M.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to cause notice of said hearing to be published in the
official newspaper for two successive weeks with at least five
days intervening between said respective publication dates. Such
notice shall state the time and place of the hearing and that
a copy of the Code being considered for adoption is on file with
the City Clerk and is open to public inspection and shall contain
a description sufficient to give notice to interested persons of
the purpose of the ordinance and the subject matter thereof.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of March, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COWncilm8mberS Corica, Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
