Resolution 10854CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10854 AUTHORIZING ALLOCATION OF FUNDS AND OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF PARKING METER COIN COUNTING EQUIPMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 3 -15 OF THE CITY CHARTER WHEREAS, Brink's Inc. is no longer able to pick up, count and deposit parking meter money and the City has been unable to locate another company to perform this service; and WHEREAS, City personnel will have to perform this work and it has been determined to be in the best interests of the City that special coin sorting and counting equipment be purchased immediately; and WHEREAS, proper equipment is available on the open market at a cost of $5,000 for immediate delivery. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the Public Works Director, in cooperation with the City Purchasing Agent,is hereby authorized to purchase coin counting equipment on the open market; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $5,000 is hereby appropriated from the Parking Meter Fund to cover the cost of said equipment. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th of March, 1986, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
