AWARDING CONTRACT TO DAVEY TREE SURGERY COMPANY FOR
PRUNING OF CITY STREET TREES IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Pruning of City Street
Trees in Various Locations in the City of Alameda in accordance
with Specifications No. P.W. 12- 85 -36, approved March 18, 1986;
and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Davey Tree Surgery Company agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$13,316, plus the Add Alternate sum of $1,496.40 for
disinfecting /sterilizing tools between each tree pruning; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Davey Tree Surgery Company is hereby
accepted, the contract for Pruning of City Street Trees in
Various Locations in the City of Alameda is hereby awarded to
said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of April, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COUDC{l080bers Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: COunCilmember Corica - 1.
