RENAMING A PORTION OF ATLANTIC AVENUE TO
STEWART COURT
WHEREAS, approved development and circulation plans for
Alameda Marina Village include construction of Atlantic Avenue
extended from Webster Street to Sherman Street; and
WHEREAS, to avoid confusion when Atlantic Avenue is
constructed to a new alignment within the Marina Village project,
it is proposed to rename a existing unimproved, narrow, dedicated
portion of said Atlantic Avenue which extends approximately 300
feet westward of the northerly end of Eighth Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board considered this matter at
their regular meeting of February 24, 1986, and has recommended
approval of the name Stewart Court for the portion of Atlantic
Avenue indicated on Exhibit 11A44, attached hereto and made a
part hereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
,,of Alameda that the portion of Atlantic Avenue located
approximately 300 feet westward of the northerly end of Eighth
Street shall henceforth be designated Stewart Court.
