AWARDING CONTRACT TO DAILEY BODY COMPANY OF OAKLAND,
CALIFORNIA FOR ANIMAL SHELTER TRUCK AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for a half ton truck with
rescue containers for the Animal Shelter in accordance with
Specifications No. MSP 1 -86 -2 approved January 21, 1986; and
WHEREAS, no bids were received in response to said
notice; and
WHEREAS, following contact by the City the Dailey Body
Company of Oakland, California submitted a negotiated bid to
provide to the City a Chevrolet C10 model pick -up truck equipped
with a Servis model RB -0011 Animal Carrier for the sum of
$18,476.69, all inclusive; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible firm and it would be
in the best interests of the City to accept said bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that, pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter,
the bid of Dailey Body Company of Oakland, California is hereby
accepted, the contract for one Chevrolet C10 model pick -up truck
equipped with a Servis model RB -0011 Animal Carrier is hereby
awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to
execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of
the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of May, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
