Resolution 10908CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10908
AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF LOGGING RECORDER
AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1985 -86 Police
Department Budget for the purchase of a logging recorder and
associated equipment; and
WHEREAS, of the two major recorders used in the public
safety communications industry, it has been determined that the
Dictaphone equipment is superior in design, function and service,
and
WHEREAS, direct purchase from Dictaphone Corporation will
result in time and cost savings to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that, pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter,
the open market purchase from Dictaphone Corporation of a
Dictaphone Logging Recorder and associated equipment for the
Police Department is hereby authorized.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of May, 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
