AWARDING CONTRACT TO GATEWAY LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION
FOR MARINA VILLAGE PARKWAY, CHALLENGER DRIVE, AND
ATLANTIC AVENUE LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS, ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT 84-3, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Marina Village Parkway,
Challenger Drive, and Atlantic Avenue Landscape Improvements,
Assessment District 84-3, in accordance with Specifications No.
P.W. 8-85-29, approved May 6, 1986; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gateway Landscape Construction agreeing to perform
said work in accordance with said Specifications for the base bid
sum of $97,000.00, with an add-alternate bid of $104,115.80; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA, that the bid of Gateway Landscape Construction
is hereby accepted, the contract for Marina Village Parkway,
Nhereby Challenger Drive, and Atlantic Avenue landscape improvements is
awarded to said bidder and the Mayor is hereby authorized
to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf
of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the
24th of June, 1986, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Corica, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Hanna - 1.
